Zoë Jones is a Senior at Cameron High School and the daughter of Mimi and Jason Jones. She is very excited to be apart of DRGN. Zoë joined broadcasting because she has a passion for journalism and thought this would be a great opportunity. Zoë also has participated in Drama for 4 years, Newspaper for 4 years and is currently the Editor for the second year in a row, Yearbook for 1 year, Student Council for 2 years and is the Senior Class Vice-President.

Zoë spends most of her free time hanging out with her friends, or binge watching her favorite show, Bob’s Burgers. Her favorite band is PVRIS, but she also enjoys some classic rock and spending time listening to it with her mom and her dad.

As of now, Zoë plans to attend college to get a degree in Journalism and to minor in Political Science. This plan changes quite often, but Zoë is quite set on it for the time being.  “I'm really honored to be a part of this class. I think that this is a great opportunity for us students to be able to actually see what this career field is like. It's exciting walking into the station knowing that we’re making history, due to the fact that we’re the first class to participate in DRGN. I hope that we encourage some other kids to step out of their comfort zone and try to join the class also. I'm very excited to see how this year plays out and where this course will help take me.”

Vitaliy is a foreign exchange student from Ukraine. He is a senior this year, so he will definitely experience a lot of amazing events and emotions along with his friends. Vitaliy is playing soccer and is going to take tennis during spring season. He loves to travel; he visited more than 10 different countries, including Poland, Italy, Turkey, Bulgaria, Montenegro, Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic and others. Vitaliy can speak 3 languages fluently (Ukrainian, which is his mother tongue, Russian and English), and some German. This year he took Spanish class at school, so hopefully by the end of the year he will add this language to his list too. Vitaliy loves reading and watching fantasies such as Harry Potter, Hunger Games, Divergent, and The Maze Runner. He’s a great fan of Game of Thrones too. Vitaliy is an “owl” person, so he can easily stay awake for a long time, but hates waking up early. As a consequence, he is always looking forward to weekends when he possibly can have a chance to get some nice sleep. He is trying to do everything as well as he can, but sometimes it's not enough so he will always be too hard on himself, which is not good. This is one of things he finds negative in his character and tries to control. Vitaliy is always up to making new friends, hanging out and eating something tasty. He’s not the guy you’d like to trust with your food. All in all, Vitaliy is just a teenager who wants to find himself in this world make a lot of memories, and spend his time with his friends.

Westerly Jones  was born the 26th of September in 1999 in St. Joseph, MO was born to Joe Jones of Jackson, MS and Marcie Jones of Mt. Vernon, IL. She came into the world one early Sunday morning. The church just so happened to have an “old time Sunday” service that they all came to the hospital dressed like they were from the 1900’s. So this began her life. Her parents youth pastored at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in St. Joe for the first few years of her life. They then decided to evangelize all over the United States. She spent most of those long days traveling listening to the soundtrack of The Wizard of Oz and every cassette tape of Veggie Tales.  Her singing buddy and sister, Carlie, was born in January of 2003. They learned to play together and developed their our own personalities all in a truck and motor home. She quickly learned how to meet and get along with people. She still has life-long friends she met on these adventures. After a few more years of evangelizing, her parents settled us down in the small town of Cameron, MO where they were made pastor at Turning Point Church. Her next sister, Amelia, was also born in January of 2008. Her birth was a shock and a change dynamically in Westerly's life. She  had to learn that there would never be any quiet and work around her baby sister.

Westerly's family and she continue to live in Cameron, MO and plan to make many new memories and always think about the ones they have already made.

Ivee Slaughter is a senior at Cameron High School. She wanted to take the Broadcasting class because she is interested in getting out of her shell a little more and facing her fear of public speaking/interviewing. Her hope is that she will gradually become less introverted as the year progresses. She considers herself to be a responsible, rational, and practical person and has found she traditionally thrives in logic-based subjects, such as math and science. Broadcasting has offered her a challenging creativity factor that she had not previously faced and has found herself excited to see how she progresses and improves under this new curriculum. She is extremely passionate about medicine and plans to pursue mental health upon completion of high school in order to become a psychiatrist. She hopes Broadcasting will allow her to have better patient communication skills in the future and will be able to utilize skills learned when she begins her practice.

Ivee identifies as an independent and dedicated individual and is hopeful these traits will assist her for the duration of this course. She is anticipating her inquisitive and skeptical tendencies will aid in the interviewing process. She is aware her hesitancy to interview will obstruct her efforts to complete this course and is prepared to address and overcome this personal challenge. She enjoys writing, dancing, exercising, cooking, listening to music, and reading in her spare time. Ivee is also involved in HOSA, FCCLA, Student Council, and The Tank.
